The Motivational Edge’s current arts-based youth development space in Allapattah is a vibrant and dynamic hub that plays a crucial role in the lives of hundreds of school-aged kids. Situated in the heart of the community since 2018, this space serves as a haven for creativity, growth, and personal development for young individuals. The facility boasts an array of specialized areas designed to cater to various aspects of a child’s holistic development.

At its core, the space features three well-equipped music studios, each furnished with top-of-the-line instruments and recording equipment. These studios provide a nurturing environment for young musicians to explore their musical talents, learn about the intricacies of music production, and collaborate with their peers to create inspiring compositions, all the while focusing on personal development.

Adjacent to the music studios is a spacious dance studio, complete with mirrored walls. This studio offers a platform for young dancers to express themselves, refine their skills, and engage in collaborative dance projects that foster teamwork and creativity.

Recognizing the importance of education, the facility also provides dedicated academic spaces for both younger students and teenagers. These areas are designed to facilitate learning and academic support, ensuring that participants receive the educational guidance they need to thrive in their studies.

A wellness room further adds to the holistic approach of The Motivational Edge’s youth development space. As part of its commitment to expanding its impact, The Motivational Edge is preparing for an exciting transition. In Winter 2023-24, the organization will relocate to a cutting-edge facility just down the street, spanning 11,000 square feet. This new space marks a significant milestone, allowing The Motivational Edge to broaden its reach and deepen its engagement with the community.

The expanded facility will not only provide ample room for the existing music studios, dance studio, academic spaces, and wellness room but also offer the capacity to form new partnerships and collaborations. This broader approach aims to create a “wrap-around” environment that seamlessly integrates other service providers, enabling a comprehensive approach to addressing the needs of at-risk youth and teens. By fostering collaborations with various organizations, The Motivational Edge aims to provide a more holistic support system that equips young individuals with the tools and resources they need to overcome challenges and reach their full potential.
