Susan launched her inaugural 13 year career as an entrepreneur in the world of brick and mortar. She then joined the University of Miami for 17 years, two of which were in fundraising. Over the past 7 years, Susan has been using her sales and marketing skills in the fundraising arena satisfying her commitment to be a useful servant of need. Her life goals are fueled through nonprofit work, where she feels she can be most effective. Using a collaborative approach, Susan has contributed to the success of two major capital campaigns with a combined worth of $235M along with assisting smaller nonprofit organizations achieve excellence.
Susan’s drive to engage with life at a more impactful level has been nurtured through traditional education, ancient practices and sometimes irritated by challenges. Through this process as a lifelong learner, Susan gained a MA in Psychology of Mind Body Wellness. She spends her time loving her family and friends, painting, writing, walking, bicycling and hanging upside down. Words that inspire her:
