Angelica M. Simmons has been a passionate student of music and performance since 2011. By studying the genre of classical music at Florida A&M University she discovered her love for lyrical expression through Italian Arias, Negro Spirituals, and Broadway hits. Coming into her own the singer, rapper, and model now uses music as a vehicle to express her passion and emotion; a nod to her stage-name, Anala Tefnut, representing elements of fire and water. At the forefront of her passions and purpose, the community outreach she does with 'The Unsigned Artists' collective is both near and dear to her heart.
"Since our premier in 2015 we, The Unsigned Artists (TUA), have held the core value of sparking positive change in the community through music and event curation. From ‘Indie Wednesday’s’ to ‘Live at the Hill’ - both of which took place on the campus of Florida A&M University- unifying and
exposing Tallahassee's artist community has always been an overarching theme in our organization. Our annual event ‘Melanin Fest’ is a five day cultural celebration created to uplift
and ignite cultural change while addressing current issues facing the community."
