October Employee of the Month: Marcy Suarez 

When you first walk into the Irie Foundation Allapattah Music and Literacy Center (IF AMLC), you’re not only greeted by smiling students, but also by Marcy Suarez, who’s got her eyes on all the kids, making sure they’re doing their homework or busy at work, creating  and interacting with one another.  Marcy has been with The Motivational Edge for over 2.5 years and has served as the After School Advantage Program Coordinator at the IFAMLC for the last 2 school years. Under her supervision are 25 students, 4 volunteers and 3 instructors. Her passion for arts education radiates as she is constantly creating cool projects and activities with her students. On Tuesday evenings, after leaving the IF AMLC, she teaches Urban Arts to a handful of youth at Federation of Families in Miami Gardens.

An artist herself, she is always more than willing to lend a hand at community events and showcases, ensuring ME and our students are represented in the best way possible. Students adore her and we greatly appreciate her hard work and dedication to the organization’s Mission. Because of this and much more, we are happy to announce Marcy Suarez as our October Employee of the Month!
