Lyrical Expression and Audio Recording Classes for Teens

We are honored and beyond thrilled to announce that on Monday, December 2, 2013 we were awarded a Knight Arts Challenge Grant from the James S. and John L. Knight Foundation in the amount of $50,000 to support our Lyrical Expression and Audio Recording Classes for Under-Resourced Teens. This course expands mental boundaries as teens are guided to positively express themselves through the art of creative writing and lyrical expression in a safe, judgment-free environment. This unique program also lays a solid foundation for a multitude of career choices as it increases cognitive thought and teaches the skill of adaptation while under pressure. Students also learn how to use modern audio recording software and equipment.  To top it off, our matching funds of another $50,000 will allow these same teens who are struggling in school to take part in FREE, one-on-one academic tutoring classes!
