For 15 years, The Motivational Edge has been a beacon of hope and empowerment for inner
city youth in Florida. Our innovative spaces are safe and welcoming for youth to learn and grow through culturally relevant arts, mentorship, and academic support.
The staff at The Motivational Edge are warm and dedicated to serving their students in any way possible. They provide academic tutoring, but also work with students on art projects, music, poetry, digital design, dance routines, and more. The focus is on empowering youth through creative expression and providing them with the tools they need to succeed in all aspects of their lives.
One of the most unique aspects of The Motivational Edge is its focus on culturally relevant arts. The staff recognizes that each student comes from a unique cultural background and encourages them to explore and celebrate their heritage and themselves through various art forms. This not only helps students to feel connected to their roots, but also provides them with a deeper understanding and appreciation for the cultures of others.
The impact of The Motivational Edge on its students is undeniable. To date, over 17,000 students have been served by the program, with over 150 trusted adults working for them over the years. Over 4 million dollars have been invested into wages for direct staff, ensuring that the program continues to be staffed by caring and dedicated individuals.
The Motivational Edge is more than just an after-school program or a place to do homework. It is a community of individuals who are committed to helping youth realize their full potential. The program offers mentorship and guidance to students, helping them to navigate the obstacles that life may throw their way.
